# RCS Agent verification and launch

> Understand how your RCS Agent progresses through testing, external verification, approval and launch, and what you need to do at each stage.

Creating your RCS Agent is the first step towards sending branded RCS messages to your customers.

Before you can send live messages, your Agent must complete the required testing, verification and approval process.

Kero coordinates this process with the relevant RCS providers and mobile network operators, while keeping you informed of any actions required from your business.

## Understand the verification and launch journey

You can track your Agent's progress in Kero under **RCS Agents**.

**1. Draft**

Your Agent information has been saved but has not yet been submitted.

**Your responsibility:** Complete the required details and submit your Agent to Kero.

**2. In Review**

Kero is reviewing your submission and preparing your RCS Agent.

**Kero's responsibility:** Review your Agent information, use case and consent details, and prepare your Agent for creation.

If additional information is required, Kero will contact you.

**3. Ready for Verification**

Your RCS Agent has been created and is ready for final testing and verification preparation.

**Your responsibility:** Complete final testing, provide any outstanding information and ensure your business contact is ready to respond to verification emails.

**Kero's responsibility:** A Kero Customer Success Specialist coordinates the final checks and prepares your Agent for external verification. Once all requirements are complete, Kero submits your Agent through the relevant RCS provider, moving it to **Verifying**.

**4. Verifying**

Your Agent has been submitted for external verification and approval.

**Your responsibility:** Monitor your email and respond to verification requests from Google Support and the relevant mobile network operators.

**Kero's responsibility:** Coordinate the verification process and any additional requirements with the relevant parties.

**5. Launched**

Your Agent has completed the required approval and launch process.

**Your next step:** Begin sending live RCS messages through Kero, subject to availability in your approved markets and networks.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Your Agent must reach **Launched** before it can be used for live customer messaging. An Agent that is available for testing has not necessarily been approved for launch.

## 1. Complete your final testing

When your Agent reaches **Ready for Verification**, it has been created and you can complete your final testing.

Testing helps you confirm that customers will see the correct business identity and that your messages behave as expected.

Check the following:

* **Agent name and branding:** Your Agent name, logo and business description are correct.
* **Message content:** Your test messages contain the intended text and media.
* **Interactive features:** Buttons, suggested replies and links work as expected.
* **Recipient experience:** Your messages display correctly on supported RCS-enabled devices.
* **Business information:** Contact details, website and policy links are accurate.

Use registered test devices to test your Agent before launch.

>
> Learn how to register a test device and check your RCS Agent before launch.

> [!TIP]
>
> Test the experience from your customer's perspective. Check that your Agent is recognisable, your message is understandable and any interactive actions lead to the correct destination.

## 2. Prepare for external verification

Before external verification begins, Kero may need to confirm information about your business and intended messaging activity.

This may include:

* Your business and brand identity.
* The purpose of your RCS Agent.
* The types of messages you intend to send.
* How recipients provide consent.
* Your business website and publicly accessible policy links.
* The business contact authorised to confirm your brand.

Make sure this information is accurate and that your brand approver is available if confirmation is requested.

> [!NOTE]
>
> **Important:** Let your authorised business contact know that Google Support and mobile network operators may email them to confirm that your business has requested an RCS Agent through Kero.

## 3. External verification and approval

Once final testing and verification preparations are complete, a Kero Customer Success Specialist submits your RCS Agent for external verification through the relevant RCS provider.

**Status: Verifying**

### Important: Look out for verification emails

During this stage, you may receive emails from **Google Support and the relevant mobile network operators**.

These emails ask you to confirm that:

* Your business requested an RCS Agent through Kero.
* Kero is authorised to create and manage the RCS Agent on behalf of your business.
* Your business approves the use of its brand identity for RCS messaging.

**You must respond to these emails to confirm your authorisation.**

Delays in responding may delay the verification and launch of your RCS Agent.

> [!WARNING]
>
> **Action required:** Monitor the email inbox associated with your business contact and respond promptly to legitimate verification requests.
>
> If you are unsure whether a verification email is genuine, do not click its links or share sensitive information. [Contact Kero Support](https://kero.chat/contact-us) to confirm the request before responding.

### Who is responsible for what?

| Who | Responsibility |
| - | - |
| **Kero Customer Success Specialist** | Submits the Agent for external verification through the relevant RCS provider and coordinates the verification process. |
| **Google Support and mobile network operators** | Verify the Agent and request confirmation from the business where required. |
| **Your business** | Monitors the relevant email inbox and responds to verification requests confirming that Kero is authorised to create the Agent. |
| **Kero** | Coordinates any follow-up requirements and the subsequent launch process. |

You do not need to initiate external verification in Kero. However, **your response to verification emails is essential for approval**.

## 4. Launch your RCS Agent

Once the required approvals have been completed, Kero coordinates the launch of your Agent on the applicable networks.

**Status: Launched**

Your Agent is now available for live messaging in the markets and networks where it has been launched.

> [!NOTE]
>
> RCS availability depends on the destination country, mobile network and recipient device capabilities. An Agent launched in one market is not necessarily available on every network or in every country.

## 5. Start sending live RCS messages

Once your Agent is launched, you can prepare your first customer communication.

Before sending a larger campaign:

1. Confirm that the correct RCS Agent is selected.
2. Check your recipient list and consent records.
3. Review your message content and interactive features.
4. Configure an alternative messaging channel if required and supported.
5. Send a controlled test before launching your wider campaign.
6. Monitor the available delivery and engagement results in Kero.

> [!NOTE]
>
> If you configure fallback to another messaging channel, Kero attempts fallback only when the applicable routing and failure conditions are met. Fallback does not guarantee delivery.
