# Manage Your Media Library

> Learn how to upload, view, preview and delete media files in Kero.

The **Media Library** is where you store and manage media files for your Kero messaging activities.

You can add images, videos, documents and audio files to your library, making it easier to manage media for your messaging channels.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Media requirements vary between messaging channels. A file that uploads successfully to your Media Library may not meet the requirements for an RCS or WhatsApp message.

## View your Media Library

1. Sign in to your Kero account.
2. Select **Media** from the main navigation.
3. Your Media Library displays the media files associated with your account.

The Media Library displays the following information:

| Column | Description |
| - | - |
| Name | The name assigned to the media file |
| Type | The media type, such as Image, Video, Document or Audio |
| URL | The hosted location of the media file |
| Width | The image width in pixels, where applicable |
| Height | The image height in pixels, where applicable |
| Size (bytes) | The file size |
| Last Update | The date and time the media item was last updated |

Click **Refresh** to reload the Media Library.

## Add media to your library

You can upload media files directly from your computer.

**1. Open the Media Library**

Select **Media** from the main navigation.

**2. Create a new media item**

Click **+ Create Image** in the top-right corner.

**3. Enter a media name**

In **Media Name**, enter a descriptive name that will help you identify the file later.

**4. Select the media type**

Choose the appropriate media type:

* **Image**
* **Video**
* **Document**
* **Audio**

**5. Upload your file**

Click the upload icon in the **Upload Media** field.

Browse to the file on your computer, select it and click **Open**.

**6. Review your media**

Once the file has uploaded, Kero displays its hosted URL in the **Upload Media** field.

For supported images, the **Media Preview** section displays the uploaded image.

**7. Save the media item**

Click **Create**.

Kero returns you to the Media Library, where your new media item appears in the list.

> [!TIP]
>
> Use clear, descriptive names for your media files. For example, "Summer Campaign Banner" or "Company Logo" will be easier to recognise than a generic filename.

## Preview media

You can preview supported media files directly from your Media Library.

**1. Find your media**

Open **Media** and locate the file you want to preview.

**2. Open the actions menu**

Click the **three-dot menu (⋮)** at the end of the media item's row.

**3. Select Preview**

Click **Preview** to view the media, where supported.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Some media files may not be available for preview if they do not meet the applicable media requirements for RCS or WhatsApp.

## Understand media dimensions and compatibility

For images, the Media Library displays the file's width and height in pixels.

Some dimensions may appear in **red**. This indicates that the media does not meet the applicable RCS or WhatsApp media conditions.

A media file can still appear in your Media Library even if it is not suitable for a particular messaging channel.

Before using media in a message, check that it meets the requirements for your selected channel, including:

* Supported file formats
* Maximum file size
* Image dimensions and aspect ratio, where applicable

> [!WARNING]
>
> Uploading media to the library does not guarantee that it can be used with every messaging channel.

## Delete media from your library

If you no longer need a media item, you can remove it from your Media Library.

**1. Locate the media item**

Open **Media** and find the file you want to delete.

**2. Open the actions menu**

Click the **three-dot menu (⋮)** beside the media item.

**3. Select Delete**

Click **Delete** and follow any confirmation instructions displayed by Kero.

> [!WARNING]
>
> Before deleting media, check whether it is still needed for an existing template, campaign or other messaging activity.

## Important information about media URLs

When you upload a file, Kero generates a hosted URL for the media.

Anyone who has access to that URL may be able to view or retrieve the file.

Avoid uploading confidential or sensitive documents that should not be publicly accessible.
