# Track customer interactions

> See which message buttons customers tapped, review interaction details and download interaction records in Kero.

When you send an interactive message through Kero, customers may be able to tap buttons such as **Track my order** or **Shop now**.

The **Interactions** page helps you see which buttons customers have tapped, giving you a clearer picture of how they respond to your messages.

## Open customer interactions

1. Log in to your Kero account.
2. From the left navigation menu, select **Messages**.
3. Click **Interactions**.

You'll see a list of recorded button interactions for the selected reporting period.

## Understand the interactions list

Each row represents a button tap recorded by Kero.

| Column | What it shows |
| - | - |
| **Sent Time** | When the customer tapped the button. |
| **From** | The customer's mobile number. Click it to open the conversation. |
| **Contact** | The customer's name, if their number is saved in Contacts. |
| **Agent** | The Agent that sent the message containing the button. |
| **Type** | The interaction type, shown as **Tap**. |
| **Value** | The value assigned to the button in the message or template. |

### Understanding button values

The **Value** column shows the value configured for the button.

This may differ from the text the customer sees on the button.

For example, a button labelled **Track my order** could have a configured value such as `track_order`.

> [!NOTE]
>
> The Interactions page records button taps. Messages that customers type themselves are not listed here. You can find those messages in the **Inbox**.

## Choose a reporting period

By default, the Interactions page displays records from the current week.

To change the reporting period:

1. Select **Today**, **Yesterday**, **Week**, **Month** or **Year**.
2. Alternatively, select **Custom** to choose your own date range.
3. Click **Refresh** to load the latest available interactions.

This helps you review interactions during a particular campaign or investigate customer activity over time.

## Open the customer's conversation

You can move from an interaction record to the corresponding customer conversation.

1. Find the interaction you want to investigate.
2. Click the mobile number in the **From** column.
3. Kero opens the conversation associated with that customer.

This is useful when you want to understand an interaction in the context of the customer's conversation history.

## Download interaction records

You can export the interactions list to a CSV file for further analysis.

1. Open **Messages → Interactions**.
2. Select the reporting period you want to analyse.
3. Click the **download icon** above the list.
4. Save the CSV file to your computer.

You can open the file in Excel or another spreadsheet application to review interaction records or count how often particular button values were tapped.

> [!TIP]
>
> Use clear, consistent button values when creating interactive messages. This makes it easier to interpret interaction records when reviewing them later.
