How to Send RCS Messages from Your PC Desktop Using the Kero WebApp

These days, bulk business messaging to mobile phones has evolved. With a powerful messaging platform like Kero, businesses can effortlessly plan, personalize, and send RCS (Rich Communication Services) Business Messaging campaigns directly from their PC desktop via your preferred Internet browser.

Step 1: Log in to your Account

To get started:

  • In the Internet browser, log in to your Kero account.
  • Head over to the template section.
  • Go to the template tab and click “Create Template.”

Step 2: Configure Your RCS Template

When you create your message with the template editor, you are able have a live preview displaying how your RCS Business Messages will appear on your customer’s mobile phones. To configure your message template, you will need to add:

  • Template ID: Enter a lowercase template ID,
  • Template Name: Provide an easily identifiable name, and
  • Brand agent: Select appropriate brand agent type (Transactional, Promotional, Multi-use, or Marketing).

Then create you message content:

  • Choose the Rich Card format,
  • Upload an image (we suggest a size of 1440×480 pixels), and
  • Add a Title and message description.

Then, configure all Action Buttons (up to 4 are allowed), such as:

  • URL Action: Take users to a web page,
  • Calendar Action: Add an event to the user’s calendar, or
  • Simple Action: Perform a simple action like calling a number.

Then include Fallback SMS for your campaign – this is a text-based version of your rich message. While this is optional, it is highly recommended that your RCS Business Messaging campaign has SMS Fallback enabled. This will ensure the delivery of your messages via SMS if the receiving mobile device is RCS-enabled.

Step 3: Send your RCS Business Messaging campaign to your customers

Once your message template is ready:

  • Navigate to the Campaign page and press “Start Campaigns.”
  • Fill in the campaign data.
  • Add a CSV file of your customers’ contact numbers. (Tip: Double-check that the parameters in your CSV file are the same as noted in your template fields; incorrectly configured parameters won’t be processed correctly.)
  • Configure required parameters, review your setup, and click “send”.

Step 4: Track Campaign Performance

After launching your RCS Business Messaging campaign:

  • Head to the “Message Sent” tab to view figures directly.
  • Observe how many messages were delivered, or were delivered via SMS fallback, opened, and interacted with.

To send out a single RCS message from your PC desktop

If you would like to send a single message to a single customer, then you need to login to your Kero account from your Internet browser:

  • Head to the “Compose” tab.
  • Enter the contact number – the Kero platform will allow you to check if the mobile number supports RCS by clicking on the right visible button named “Check.”
  • Choose a template or disable the template option to compose a new message.
